October 2017 news

A week of Art & Interiors.

Last week Francis kicked off the busiest week in the art calendar with a talk for House & Garden on Art & Interiors and how to create an art collection. Hosted by Emily Tobin, House & Garden's Arts & Deputy Features Editor, Francis talked at length with Frances Christie of Sotheby's on how to choose art for your home, his own collection and what artists he will be collecting in the future. The talk was hosted by the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. Francis was delighted to be invited once again to joint the prestigious judging committee for PAD.

Narmina Launches at Claridges

With the backdrop of Claridges, it was always going to be a typically stylish affair as Francis Sultana launched its brand new furniture collection entitled Narmina and new catalogue.  Upholstery, lighting, furniture and accessories in rock crystal, marquetry, mica, rattan and patinated bronze sat alongside fabrics including mohair velvet and a bespoke tweed inspired by Coco Chanel. Francis welcomed 70 guests for a wonderful dinner as featured in Tatler. The collection was covered by Architectural Digest, World of Interiors and Wallpaper around the world. The collection will move to the showroom next week and we are taking appointments to view.

New Francis Sultana Accessories collection launched

Francis has been working on a new collection of cashmere throws for the past year which launch this month. The delectable throws, made for Francis Sultana in Scotland, are available in a bespoke colour palette of ecru, dark blue and moss green - one of the designs, the only pattern in the collection, nods to an original bronze design taken from his Diliana cabinet from the Yana Collection. Blanket stitched edges and two tone colourways, the stylish throws can be used in the home as well as being the ultimate in travel luxury
