Claridges Launch of Collection I

Francis Sultana launched his first collection of furniture ‘Homage to the Art Deco’ at Claridges hotel in London.

For 20 years he had been designing one off bespoke commissions for his discerning clients and felt that the time had come to produce a complete body of signature work. ‘Homage to the Art Deco’ is inspired by Sultana’s early career working for David Gill, who was instrumental in throwing the spotlight back onto the masters of the art deco period before it became fashionable to do so. The collection showcases an abundant richness of materials, luxurious detailing and sleek classic forms well suited to either classic or modern interiors.

PAD Paris Collection II

This March, Francis designed a glittering space at the Pavilion of Art & Design in Paris, in order to preview pieces from his latest collection ‘Yana’.

The second collection, an homage to his muse and friend Yana Peel, sees a hand carved Warhol inspired camouflage pattern embellishing beautiful gilded wood and bronze furniture. Fashion and Pop have been two major inspirations here, resulting in a highly creative vision that is a complete departure from the classical roots of the first collection.
